Understanding the Electoral Count Reform Act

One of the most important things to remember as we approach election day is that in 2020 our election institutions held, despite unprecedented threats, and they’ve been reinforced since.

Much of that reinforcement comes from the Electoral Count Reform Act, the critically important bipartisan legislation passed by  Congress in December 2022.  Together with David Nevins, publisher of The Fulcrum, ERN's Kevin Johnson has written a simple explainer of the Act and the important ways it has reduced risks in the presidential election process.
