ERN Launches New Substack - The Guardrail

At ERN, we believe that polarization, contempt for the rule of law, and political extremism are threatening our democracy and our way of life. In part, these problems stem from bad rules we’ve long needed to fix. To make the case for much-needed reform and build the support needed to make it a reality, we're launching a new Substack newsletter, The Guardrail.

The Guardrail is our space to share news, insights, and commentary on the challenges facing our democracy — and the reforms that can keep it on course.

Each post will spotlight the major threats challenging our electoral system, highlight where the guardrails of democracy are holding firm, and explore the structural changes needed to prevent election-related abuse of power. Think of this newsletter as both a warning system and a guidepost: calling out threats while pointing toward solutions that restore balance and strengthen trust in American democracy.
